Hawkeye® Pro Slim Prism Borescopes .165” (4.20mm)
Pro Slim Prism .165” (4.20mm)
Hawkeye® Pro Slim Prism Borescopes have a dedicated prism for a fixed direction of view of either 30 or 70 degrees. The Slim Prism Borescopes are ideal for industrial environments such as foundries and machine shops; as the dedicated prism repels dirt and debris, providing the user with an unobstructed view. The 30° prism gives users a view at an oblique angle which combined with it’s 70° field of view can be helpful when examining blind holes, cross holes and rifle barrels. The 70° prism can be used to examine threads, surface finish, welds, cross-holes and castings.
Available in 30° and 70° Prism DOV (90° available by special order, call for details), the clarity and contrast of Hawkeye® Pro Slim Prism Borescopes provide spectacular image quality at a fraction of the cost of German made prism scopes. With a diameter of just 4.2mm (.165”) Hawkeye Pro Slim Prism Borescopes can accommodate most machine metal parts with ease.

These scope were not designed to operate below 0°. However, several of our customers have successfully used the scopes in liquid Nitrogen at 77 deg. K.
All Hawkeye borescopes we designed only for use at ambient pressure, however, we have several customers who have successfully used Hawkeye Borescopes at pressures up to 500 PSI and down to 10-6 Torr. As the scopes were not specifically designed for this, the operator does so at his own risk.
All Hawkeye Pro Rigid borescopes (tube only, not the eyepiece end) are water tight and are resistant to most hydrocarbons; oils, gasoline, hydraulic fluid, jet fuel, etc. Exposure to Acids and strong Alkali should be avoided as it will attack the optical window.
